The Barry D.E.W. (Dielectric Even Wet) Line® is the most advanced helicopter longline available. This insulating longline is designed to be integrated as part of a PCDS, STC (or LSTC) for Human External Cargo (HEC), also known as Class D or Human External Transport System (HETS), for work on AC or DC energized apparatus.
Note: These assembled components do not consist of a complete STC package and their use may be limited by regulations under certain jurisdictions. Barry will work with client's DAR and team in order to assist with additional certification requirements.
Barry has performed cyclic, fatigue and other testing and evaluation in its Airworthiness Substantiation Analysis in order to demonstrate compliance with TCCA, FAA and EASA 14 CFR parts 27 and 29 requirements. Barry HEC products are essential components on several approved STCs.
Barry D.E.W. Line ® technology uses proprietary materials which offer unique insulating properties with exceptionally low leakage currents, whether dry or wet.
