Barry D.E.W. Line® Lineman Rescue Kit with retrievable anchor strap

The Barry D.E.W. Line® Lineman Rescue Kit is a sealed, self-contained and easily deployed system designed to perform three different rescue methods and/or to escape from access platforms, bare hand carts, aerial devices, towers and others.

Rescue methods:

  • Mode 1: Self-rescue with retrievable anchor strap (allows user to self-retrieve rope and anchor strap after use)
  • Mode 2: Controlled descent of a victim from the position of the victim
  • Mode 3: Controlled descent of a victim from the ground (using a deviation pulley)

The Barry D.E.W. Line® Lineman Rescue Kit is a sealed, self-contained and easily deployed system designed to perform three different rescue methods and/or to escape from access platforms, bare hand carts, aerial devices, towers and others. The anchor strap and dielectric rope can be retrieved from the ground so that the system can be immediately removed after use and no other equipment is required for retrieval aloft.

The dielectric D.E.W. Line® rope greatly enhances worker/escapee safety by ensuring that the mechanical properties of the rope are maintained and that the system will not experience dangerous leakage currents even under wet or humid moisture conditionsNo other rescue ropes available on the market have the combination of dielectric even wet properties with extremely low leakage currents (meeting the requirements of ASTM F1701 and IEC 62192) and Category 4 arc flash performance. This rescue system the optimum choice for utilities and contractors performing work in energized environments.
