Our Original Ring Knife has been continually produced in its current design since the late 1800's and with the same materials used today since the end of WWII.
The band is made of aluminum, the steel blade is hardened by heat treating, and the rivets are nickel-plated brass. Our consistent dedication to quality ensures that today's knife is of the same quality as the one purchased decades ago. Yes, it is still made entirely in America, with American materials and American labor. We think this is important.
The blades that go into every HANDY knife have a sharp edge. We ask that our customers be very cautious when using this product. Our knives are intended to be used as a working tool, and should be used as such. If an injury occurs during the use (or misuse) of a HANDY Twine Knife, or HANDY Ring Knife, this is a risk that our customers assume and we can in no way be held accountable.

Size Info
The ring knives are available in standard ring sizes from 3 through 18. Those sizes are the same as a jewelry store ring size. Our most popular sizes for ladies are 7 through 9 and for men, sizes 12 through 16. If you currently have a Handy Twine Knife, the size is stamped on the ring's band. If you still are not sure, order a little larger than you think you might need. The ring can be made smaller by wrapping it with string or tape for a "custom" fit. If you order knives that are too small there isn't much you can do to make them larger (See our FAQ for more info).
