The Barry Heavy Lift Synthetic Longline offers heavy helicopter operators an easy-handling and lightweight alternative to steel cable longlines for heavy-lift external load applications.

Characteristics:

Replaces wire cable for external load operations
High relative strength (10 times lighter than steel for the same strength)
Low-recoil coefficient for added safety
Amsteel-Blue® Dyneema® (SK75) 12-strand synthetic rope
Excellent resistance to chemicals, fuels and oils
Double polyurethane coating for U.V. and extreme abrasion resistance
Nylite® spool/shackle end-fittings
Easy storage in provided transport bag

Custom Fabrication:

Rope length
Heavy-duty PVC protective cover
Accessories (shunts, hose/wire ports)

Safety:

Minimum 7:1 safety factor on all products (excluding hardware)
Certificate of compliance
Instructions manual included
Complies with FAA Federal Aviation Regulations (FARS, 14 CFR) part 29.865 (limit static load)

Protective Jacket:

Full-length double or triple-layer Quick-Zip Longline Jacket, available with internal separators for wires or hoses, easily allows access for inspection

End-Covers:

Zippered End-Cover protecting sleeves provides abrasion resistance at both ends of the longline
Reflective cinch strap for high visibility
